Talia Cohen
Product researcher, lighting hardware & AI tools
Talia Cohen reviews continuous LED hardware and creator-facing software with the same rigor she applied to 200+ AI tool head-to-heads since 2023. As technical reviewer for Studio LED Shootout, she replicates every SSI and flicker measurement on a second spectrometer, flags unit-to-unit variance, and stress-tests fan curves at 10% dimming—the power range where most tabletop photographers actually work.
Before this role, Talia spent two years as a visiting researcher at MIT Media Lab's Responsive Environments group, where she prototyped spectral-feedback loops for live-stream lighting. She has published weekly comparison columns with live demos on Product Hunt and maintains an open GitHub repository of spectrometer calibration scripts used in our lab workflow.
Talia's hardware reviews appear on Cinema5D and in the Product Hunt Maker Grant portfolio (2025). She specializes in cross-brand modifier compatibility, Bowens-mount adapter tolerances, and the gap between vendor CRI claims and measured TLCI under real dimming curves. Her portfolio and published shootout archive are linked below.
